On the 19th June 2014, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje performed a traditional Buddhist ceremony today for his late teacher, Shamar Rinpoche.
Along with many Karma Kagyu lamas, ordained and lay practitioners, and dignitaries, HH 17th Karmapa paid respect in this way to the 14th Shamarpa before his body was carried out of the funeral home and taken onwards to Asia.
Shamar Rinpoche’s official website has a report.
