Summer of friendship

Taking Lamas Ole’s never ending activity as an example, our approach as practitioners is to meditate together, work all year round in our centers, travel
around the world in our Lama’ s footsteps, and organize and attend courses. We do all the work ourselves, preparing the site, cooking, cleaning and
everything else, while doing trying our best to make our events experiences of friendship and joy.
We use the opportunity of having our own land to bring people together, share the dharma and experience each other’s friendship.
Nobody in our sanghas gets paid for anything they do, it’s all voluntary work for our friends and for the benefit of all sentient beings.

This summer the USA  opened with their National Course

National courses have been a part of the annual activity of the American Sangha for decades, gathering at our retreat lands in rotating fashion, which requires the courses to be different times of the year. The joyous event of a few hundred friends has been held twice at the Northeast Retreat Center (2023 and 2024) and this past June 2025 at the Heartland Retreat Center. In the coming years, the event is planned to be hosted at the Western Retreat Center and at Dakini Ranch.

Central Asia Sangha

At the same time we had the Central Asia Course

The famous “Deutschlandkurs” (i.e the German National Course) in Altmühle brought over 800 people together meditating and  using their energy to share activity and friendship.

In June we had the Spanish National Course in Karma Guen with Shangpa Rinpoche

At the Austrian “Tune In” Meditation Course in Graz we did five days with four meditations daily in six gompas for the different practices of our curriculum, crowned in the evening by five dharma lectures in total.

July

The Danish National Course took place in Lolland

Kuchary hosted the Polish National Course with over 1000 people attending.

Quote from Becske Sangha

Originally, we planned to hold it at the end of the summer, but when we found out the dates for the international programs, we suddenly had to change our plans because of the Rinpoches’ visits to Europe.
We decided to hold the course at the beginning of the summer on an exclusionary basis, there was literally just one date available, and we had very little time left to organize everything.
We had no idea what to expect, but one thing was clear: we definitely wanted to make it happen, even if only a few people could come. Most traveling teachers already had their calendars full, and most friends had already planned their summer holidays.
In the end, even we were surprised—everything came together beautifully, and we managed to invite two amazing teachers to Becske: Manfred Maier and Kristian Zacho came to join us.
Around 150 friends gathered for the weekend—it seems spontaneity really inspired people! The weather was perfect, and since our gompa was a bit too small for such a big crowd, we took full advantage of the huge shade of our own “bodhi tree” and held the teachings outdoors.
One special highlight was meeting Lama Ole online one day—such a joy!
We’re really grateful to the Lama and the sangha for these wonderful days together, full of practice, precious teachings, walks around the stupa, reconnecting with old friends, and joyful moments together!

We also had national meetings in Tenovice and Italy in June and July where the national sanghas met and discussed different topics of regionalimportance, joined together in friendship and joyful effort to propagate Lama Ole’ s activity.
Lama Ole joined all these events with video calls where everybody was recognized and blessed by our precious Lama.
